Surfing Fiji this week
This week we got lucky and got a few spots for cloud break
on Saturday. A fun session was had with head high barrels. The rest of the crew
had Namotu lefts to themselves.
Sunday the wind dropped right off, Wilkes
was in good form with 3-4 foot clean waves with the occasional barrel.
Monday
the swell dropped right off and Wilkes had some clean small waves. Then we headed
to desperations which had a bit more punch to it.
Tuesday the wind came
up so some of crew went diving and Island hopping instead.
Wednesday we
hit Mini Cloud Break early, the swell had picked up and fast 4-5 foot heavy barrels
were challenging for all.
Thursday we had some intro surf at Natandola beach
on the high tide.
Friday we hit Mini Cloud Break again, but the swell was
small with short rides.
Another swell is expected to come early next week,
so good size waves are on the way.
