Surfing Fiji this week ...by surf guide Tim

This week brought us good waves as the strong winds blew on and off. Mini-cloudbreak provided solid 4 ft fast lefts on Monday for the more experienced. Wilkes was firing on Tuesday with clean 6 to 8 ft waves in perfect conditions. As the week progressed the wind picked up from the south and the swell dropped off a little.

On Thursday morning Desperations provided fun and speedy 3 ft waves on the outgoing high tide. The guests enjoyed letting loose on both rights and lefts that morning before the coral started to expose itself. With the wind still hanging around the rest of the week we found protection at Natandola beach. Good learning waves for some of the guests on the high tide and quick lefts out at the point for the more experienced.

The forecast is for a solid south west swell for most of the coming week with 4 to 8 ft faces along the exposed shores.
